WELCOME TO
WE PRESENT SIMPLY THE FINEST DORSET CREAM TEA, HAND MADE WITH LOCALLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS AND A WHOLE LOT OF DORSET PASSION!
We present to you the true taste of a Dorset Cream Tea. Our scones are hand made here on the farm, with Matthews Cotswold Artisan flour and Blackmore Vale Dairy Shaftesbury Local Buttermilk. Our Clotted cream comes from Craig’s Farm Dairy in Osmington and our home made Strawberry jam is packed with New Forest Strawberries.
Margot’s secret recipe for making the best scones has been passed down through generations, going back to the 1930s when Nanny Goff first used the technique.
Margot grew up on the family farm, nestled in the beautiful Blackmore Vale in Dorset. There she was handed down the skills of farming life from her grandfather and father outside on the land and in the kitchen where she spent time cooking with her mother and both of her grandmothers. Now the traditions, skills and respect for the environment Margot has acquired come together in The Dorset Home Made Food Company…
"Our ‘tea’ travelled 450 miles and arrived completely intact and fresh… the cream was still chilled; the bigger than average scones looked and tasted newly baked- and the jam! Definitely moreish!"
"We had a cream tea last week from the Dorset Handmade Food Company. It arrived in the most beautiful box (definitely going to keep that) and was fun to unpack. The scones were delicious and went perfectly with the fantastic strawberry jam and unctuous cultured cream all washed down with a fragrant cup of tea. This is definitely something I would order again for a special occasion or gift."
“The afternoon tea was in perfect condition when it arrived. We warmed the scones slightly and they were lovely, soft and not at all dry. There was also more than plenty cream and jam to use on them. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for all occasions!”
